About Us

Mediterranean Steel (Med-Steel) is a Syrian joint company established in July 2007. The company operates a melt shop for square billet production with an annual capacity of up to 800,000 metric tons and includes provisions for a future rolling mill.

Our Process

Mediterranean Steel operates a modern melt shop designed for the production of square steel billets using Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) technology.

85-ton Electric Arc Furnace (EAF)

Ladle Furnace (LF)

Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) with 4 strands

130 MVA electrical substation supplied by ABB

200-ton furnace charging and ladle transfer cranes

Auxiliary systems supplied by European manufacturers

The melt shop is operated by a fully trained operational team under all operating conditions.
